Do you know who they are?
There are 2 Galleries of photos, please see bottom of page for links
I often purchase old photographs at auctions and antique stores. There's something about the faces in old photos that draw me to them. Sadly, many of the older photographs I have purchased, do not have any names on them. So their identity remains a mystery. But perhaps you will know who they are. Please take a look at the photos on the next two pages.
If you know them, please email me!
YOUNG
Preface: These photos were purchased in a boxed lot at an auction in north central Pennsylvania, in the small town of Bedford. At the time, there was a mix of postcards and these photos, and I purchased everything in one box lot. Although there are few clues to go on to identify the families in these photos, there are a few of the photos that do have writing on the back. It is uncertain if all the photos are of the same family or a mix of several families, but as you will notice, a closer look does prove some of the same faces are duplicated.
In row one, photo one: this photo is addressed to May Young c/o George Young, Richwood, Westwood, West Virginia. The card is postmarked from Oregon, 1911.
In row one, photo two: Mae Young is written on the back. (note difference in spelling of Mae)
In row one, photo three: photo labeled Mrs. Geo Young Sarah Furnace, PA (There is a small town of Sara Furnace nearby the town where these pictures were purchased. Uncertain if this reference is one and the same)
